Praised for her "unique timbre and youthful spirit", rising soprano Elizabeth Fisher is making waves in the young artist opera scene. Ms. Fisher is currently a Resident Artist with Indianapolis Opera, where she is playing the Blue Fairy/Cat in Pinocchio, as well as Annina and Violetta (cover) in La Traviata. Her 2026 began as a Mary Ragland Emerging Artist with Nashville Opera, where she played the role of Berta in Il barbiere di Siviglia. Ms. Fisher's 2025-2026 season also included Soprano Chorister in Orff's Carmina Burana, Pagliacci, and Cavalleria Rusticana with The Lyric Opera of Chicago and Sally in Thompson Street Opera's production of the The Day the Dogs Began to Talk.  Additionally, she was a soprano chorus member in Chicago Opera Theater's production of Salieri's Falstaff. Miss Fisher regularly performs with Bellissima Opera, where she has debuted the roles of Stella in Pauline Viradot's Le dernier sorcier, Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Anny Ondra in Outside the Ring and a Dater in Speed Dating Tonight!. She completed an extremely successful run as Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance with Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company in 2025 after singing the role of Ruth in the company's production of Ruddigore. She was recently a Festival Artist at Utah Festival Opera, where she covered the roles of Laurie (The Tender Land) and Pamina (The Magic Flute). During the summer of 2021, she performed the role of Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor with Opera in the Ozarks. Her accolades include an Encouragement Award from the Nebraska District of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, First Place in the MiOpera Vocal Competition, and winner of the Beaulieu Vocal Competition. 

Ms. Fisher received her Master of Music in Vocal Performance at Florida State University, studying with David Okerlund.  In Florida State Opera's 2020/2021 season, she coached the roles of Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor) and Juliette (Romeo et Juliette) with the opera department. On the main stage, she sang multiple lead roles, including roles of Héro in Berlioz's Beatrice et Bénédict, Malwina in Marschner's Der Vampyr, Miriam in Lee Hoiby's The Scarf and Konstanze (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) in a Mozart Scene Concert with a full orchestra.

Receiving her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Drake University, she studied with Andrew Ryker and Dr. Leanne Freeman-Miller. There, she performed Nannetta in Verdi's Falstaff, Papagena and Pamina (cover) in Mozart's Die Zauberflüte, and Laetitia in Menotti's The Old Maid and the Thief. During her time at Drake University, Ms. Fisher appeared as a soloist with the Drake Choir in multiple works, including the soloist in Mozart's Regina Coeli. She received First Place at the District Region of the NATS competition in both 2017 and 2018. She performed multiple roles with local opera company, The Des Moines Opera Project, including, Frasquita in Bizet's Carmen and Suor  Genovieffa in Suor Angelica. In 2016, she was an intern with Des Moines Metro Opera. 

Elizabeth currently resides in Chicago, where she loves to do yoga, experiment with gluten free baking, and explore all the happy hours the city has to offer!
